Following the recently concluded controversial NRM primaries, the party’s electoral commission chairperson Dr. Felistus Magomu has promised to drastically push the high fraudulent election tendencies to a more tolerable minimum.
In an exclusive press interview at the UL offices, she noted that some of the candidates ‘overdid it’ and ended up winning by a huge margin. “Yes, they were on our list of predetermined winners but they were not supposed to take the rigging that far,” she stated. “You don’t make it so obvious. That’s not how we do things in NRM. I promise Ugandans that serious action will be taken against those who achieved landslide victory.”
She guaranteed more hushed and controlled levels of rigging adding that she was in talks with national electoral commission chairman Dr. Badru Kiggundu to ensure more acceptable results, come 2011. She was flanked by her 2 year old baby who kept chanting incoherently, applauding and adorning her with crawling ovations for everything she said.
